To properly talk about what’s happening in Israel and Palestine is to go back decades. And there’s lots of videos and timelines that can teach you the complicated history of the region, fighting, and displacements  — and how it’s rooted in our global system. Right now, the conflict is heightened: tens of thousands of people have been or are being killed, the majority of whom are children. The majority of humanity, including the US population, want a ceasefire, but the deaths and horror continue. And pro-Palestine voices seem to be actively silenced on campuses, in protests, online, and nearly everywhere else, while antisemitism and Islamophobia grows the world over.

A lot of incredible groups are fighting hard to stop the genocide in Palestine and build local power around it. Some of these groups are specific for certain demographics and identities, so be conscious of that when you’re searching online.
